HINDERSTODER, Austria, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Austrians took first and second places and American Bode Miller was third in Saturday's World Cup men's super G at Hinderstoder, Austria.

Hannes Reichelt took first in the competition in 1minute, 43.91 seconds, about a half-second ahead of teammate Benjamin Raich and less than a full second ahead of Miller.

"It was a tactical race and I went to the limits, but the course set made you feel awkward on your skis," observed Miller. "I'm always trying to win races, but a podium finish is also pretty encouraging."

The win was Reichelt's first since 2008. Overall World Cup leader Ivica Kostelic placed fifth behind fourth-place Carlo Janko.

Another American, Tommy Ford, impressed the Austrian crowd by moving up from 65th after the first run to 11th place in the second,
