NEW YORK, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- New York Rangers forward Ruslan Fedotenko is likely to miss three weeks after having an appendectomy, the team said Wednesday.

Fedotenko, who was already out with a separated shoulder, underwent the procedure Wednesday in New York, officials said.

The veteran Ukrainian winger had missed five games with the shoulder ailment.

The 32-year-old has nine goals and 19 points in 48 games with the Rangers this season.

In his 10-year career with Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh and the Rangers, he has racked up 159 goals and 168 assists for 327 total points.
