
PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 2 (UPI) -- LaMarcus Aldridge had 40 points and 11 rebounds for Portland Tuesday in the Trail Blazers' 99-86 win over San Antonio.
Wesley Matthews had 21 for the Blazers and Andre Miller contributed 18 points and nine assists.
Aldridge was 16-of-23 from the field and 8-of-9 from the free throw line in Portland's second consecutive victory.
San Antonio was led by Manu Ginobili with 17 points. Tim Duncan added 14 points and DeJuan Blair finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Spurs used a 30-point second quarter to take a 52-47 lead at the half. But they did not break 20 points in either of the final two quarters and were outscored in the fourth 28-15.
Portland shot 50.7 percent from the field to San Antonio's 42.7 percent. The Spurs struggled at the free throw line, converting 8-of-15 attempts.
