NBA: Dallas 102, Washington 92

DALLAS, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points Monday and the Dallas Mavericks downed Washington 102-92, handing the Wizards their 24th straight road loss.

Nowitzki finished 8-of-8 at the free throw line and Tyson Chandler scored 18 points and grabbed 18 rebounds for the Mavs, who posted their fifth consecutive win.

Jason Terry came off the bench to score 14 points and dish off eight assists and Shawn Marion contributed 14 points and nine rebounds for the Mavericks.

Nick Young went 6-of-20 from the field en route to 18 points and Rashard Lewis also scored 18 for Washington, which shot just 39.5 percent for the game.
