WASHINGTON, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Chris Wright pumped in 24 points and sank a pair of key free throws down the stretch Monday in No. 14 Georgetown's 62-59 win over No. 13 Louisville.

Wright was 8-of-8 from the foul line, including two free throws that gave the Hoyas (17-5, 6-4 Big East) a three-point advantage with 5 seconds left.

Louisville's Peyton Siva missed a desperation 3-point try at the final buzzer and resurgent Georgetown hung on to post its fifth straight conference victory.

Austin Freeman chipped in with 13 points and Julian Vaughn contributed 10 points and six rebounds for the Hoyas.

Terrance Jennings led the Cardinals (17-5, 6-3) with 18 points and seven rebounds. Preston Knowles added 11 points as Louisville saw its bid to post a third straight comeback win fall short.
