
VILLANOVA, Pa., Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Austin Freeman had 30 points, including 10 in a late charge that carried No. 20 Georgetown past 7th-ranked Villanova 69-66 Saturday.
Freeman tallied 10 of the last 12 points scored by Georgetown (16-5, 5-4 Big East) in the final 5 minutes and assisted on a bucket by Nate Lubick that gave the Hoyas a 67-64 lead with 23 to play.
Jason Clark scored 10 points off the bench and was the only other Georgetown player in double figures.
Corey Fisher led Villanova (17-4, 5-3) with 18 points and Corey Stokes had 15, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range. The Wildcats have lost three of four and Georgetown has won four in a row.
The Hoyas led 32-26 at halftime and wound up shooting 52.2 percent from the field and made 16-of-17 free throws.
