PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Tyreke Evans struck for 26 points, six assists and six rebounds Monday and the Sacramento Kings heated up in the second half to down Portland 96-81.

Leading by two at the half, the Kings went on an 8-0 run capped by Jason Thompson's tip shot with 10:40 left in the game to establish a cushion they would maintain the rest of the way.

Carl Landry scored 16 points and grabbed eight boards while DeMarcus Cousins added 14 and eight for Sacramento, which won for just the second time in its last 17 road games.

Beno Udrih contributed 14 points and Omri Casspi chipped in with 12 and seven boards for the Kings.

The Trail Blazers saw their five-game winning streak snapped.

Wesley Matthews led Portland with 21 points and Andre Miller contributed 18.
