COLUMBUS, Ohio, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- William Buford scored 19 points Tuesday to lead top-ranked Ohio State past No. 12 Purdue 87-64.
Buford sank a 3-point shot to start the game and the Buckeyes (21-0, 8-0 Big Ten) led wire-to-wire against the Boilermakers (17-4, 6-2), who opened Tuesday' play in second place in the Big Ten.

Jared Sullinger added 17 points to the Ohio State attack. Deshaun Thomas and Jon Diebler both added 13.
JaJuan Johnson led Purdue with 22 points and E'Twaun Moore added 16.
Ohio State outshot the Boilermakers from the field 55.2 percent to 38.1 percent, and led 46-26 at halftime. The Buckeyes also led in rebounding 39-26.
