NHL: Colorado 4, Vancouver 3 (OT)

DENVER, Jan. 19 (UPI) -- David Jones scored his second goal of the night in overtime Tuesday to give the Colorado Avalanche a 4-3 win over Vancouver.

Jones knocked in a rebound of his own shot at 2:52 of overtime to give the Avalanche its third victory in three tries. John-Michael Liles and Milan Hejduk scored in regulation and Craig Anderson turned in 40 saves for Colorado.

Vancouver had goals from Alexander, Ryan Kesler and Sergei Shirokov. Roberto Luongo notched 26 saves.

Hejduk beat Luongo on a power play at 19:18 of the second period to tie the score 3-3. After a scoreless third period, Colorado got another power-play opportunity in overtime that Jones converted into the game-winning score.
