Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEW YORK, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- Steve Nash's 3-pointer with 4:45 left in the game put Phoenix ahead for good Monday and the Suns went on to a 129-121 win over New York.
Nash finished with 15 points, Hakim Warrick came off the bench to score nine points down the stretch and Vince Carter hit five 3-pointers en route to 29 points and 12 rebounds for the Suns.
Phoenix, which won for the third straight time, got 25 points from Grant Hill and Channing Frye chipped in with 18 more.
The Knicks got a season-high 41 points from Amare Stoudemire and Wilson Chandler netted 23 points.
