NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 17 (UPI) -- David West scored five of his 23 points in the closing seconds Monday, boosting the New Orleans Hornets to an 85-81 comeback victory over Toronto.

West netted an 18-foot jumper with 31 seconds to go, breaking an 81-81 tie, then blocked an Amir Johnson layup and drew a foul with 15 ticks left. His final two free throws sealed the win.

West added 10 rebounds, helping the Hornets overcome an eight-point, fourth-quarter deficit and notch their fifth straight win.

Emeka Okafor and Jarrett Jack added 17 points each, with Okafor hauling down 16 rebounds, and Chris Paul distributed 11 assists for the victors.

Toronto, meanwhile, fell to 5-16 on the road.

DeMar DeRozan led the Raptors with 23 points.
