SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Dany Heatley's two goals Saturday sent the San Jose Sharks to a 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Blues in a battle between two slumping teams.

Joe Thornton and Jame McGinn also scored for San Jose and Antti Niemi made 28 saves for the Sharks, who snapped a six-game losing streak.

St. Louis, which got goals from B.J. Crombeen and Erik Johnson, has now lost six of its last seven games. Jaroslav Halak gave up the four San Jose goals on 29 shots.

Heatley's second goal was the game-winner. He tipped Marc-Edouard Vlasic's shot from the blue line past Halak to give San Jose a 3-2 lead at the 4:35 mark of the final period. McGinn netted an insurance goal at 12:57.
