ST. PAUL, Minn., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Matt Cullen notched a goal and an assist and Anton Khudobin logged his first career shutout Sunday in the Minnesota Wild's 4-0 blanking of Vancouver.
Cullen's shorthanded, unassisted goal off a Vancouver turnover at the blue line put the Wild ahead 3-0 less than 4 minutes into the third period and his assist on John Madden's tally 6 minutes later completed Minnesota's scoring.
Khudobin, making only his third career NHL start, stopped all 32 shots he faced, including 15 in third period as the Wild beat Vancouver at home for the fourth straight time.
Andrew Brunette and Martin Havlat also found the net for Minnesota, which broke a three-game losing streak.
The Canucks, who came into the game boasting the NHL's best overall record at 29-9-6, suffered only their second regulation-time loss since Dec. 5.
Cory Schneider turned aside 21-of-25 shots for Vancouver.
