NASHVILLE, Jan. 15 (UPI) -- Marcel Goc notched the only goal in a shootout Saturday, completing the Nashville Predators' 3-2 comeback victory over Chicago.
Goc, Nashville's first shooter in the tie-breaker, tucked the puck underneath Corey Crawford and the Predators' Pekka Rinne stopped Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Patrick Sharp to win it for Nashville.
Rinne turned aside 31-of-33 shots in regulation and stonewalled Sharp on a breakaway late in the scoreless overtime frame to preserve the tie.
The Predators, who won their third straight home game, entered the third period trailing 2-0 but Jerred Smithson and Shea Weber scored to forge the deadlock.
The Blackhawks got goals from Tomas Kopecky and Viktor Stalberg. Crawford was denied in his bid for a third straight shutout for Chicago, surrendering a pair of goals on 26 shots.
