TORONTO, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Tracy McGrady helped Detroit open a 15-point lead in the third period Friday and the Pistons held on to defeat Toronto 101-95.

Detroit won on the road for just the fourth time in 21 tries this season despite being narrowly outshot and outrebounded by the Raptors.

McGrady scored 22 points, Rodney Stuckey contributed 19 and Charlie Villanueva had 16 off the bench for the Pistons, who had lost their previous two games.

Detroit overcame a 31-point, nine-rebound show by Andrea Bargnani. It was his third best point production of the season. DeMar DeRozan scored 15 points for the Raptors, who have lost back-to-back games.
