NBA: Memphis 107, Detroit 99

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Zach Randolph made the most of his constant trips to the foul line Wednesday and scored 34 points in boosting Memphis to a 107-99 victory over Detroit.

Rudy Gay added 26 points for the Grizzlies and teamed with Randolph to dominate the inside. They combined to make 20-of-30 shots from the field.

Randolph attempted 17 free throws and made 14 of them, helping Memphis snap a two-game skid.

The score was tied 50-50 with 9:22 to play in the third quarter but Memphis outscored the Pistons 23-14 during the remainder of the quarter to take control.

Ben Gordon scored 25 points to lead Detroit. The Pistons have lost seven of nine.
