COL BKB: Duke 71, Maryland 64

DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Kyle Singler scored 25 points and hit a key 3-pointer late in the game Sunday, helping No. 1 Duke stay unbeaten with a 71-64 win over Maryland.

Singler grabbed 11 rebounds and turned back the pesky Terrapins with a 3-pointer with 55 seconds left to give Duke an eight-point bulge at 70-62.

Nolan Smith added 18 points, eight assists and six rebounds, and Seth Curry netted 12 points off the bench for Duke (15-0, 2-0 ACC), which won its 25 straight game and 29th in a row at home.

Jordan Williams pumped in 23 points and hauled down 13 rebounds for Maryland (10-5, 0-2).
