OAKLAND, Calif., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Monta Ellis made five of Golden State's 14 3-pointers Friday and the Warriors easily rolled to a 116-98 win over Cleveland.

The fading Cavaliers lost their ninth straight in the first outing of a five-game road trip. Cleveland will go the entire trip without guard Daniel Gibson, who is out with an ankle sprain.

Ellis scored 32 points, David Lee had 22 and Dorell Wright scored 20. The Warriors won their second straight, making 20-of-21 from the foul line and 14-of-26 from long range.

This was the first game in a stretch that will see the Warriors play 14-of-16 at home.

Antawn Jamison led Cleveland with 21 points. The Cavaliers have eight victories this season, tied with Sacramento for the fewest in the NBA.
