AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Austin Daye hit key 3-pointers at the end of regulation and in overtime Saturday, propelling Detroit to a 112-109 win over Philadelphia.

Daye finished with 15 points. The Pistons got 23 points from Tayshaun Prince, 20 from Rodney Stuckey, and 16 points and 13 rebounds from Greg Monroe as they ended a three-game losing streak.

The 76ers, who had won their last two games, were led by Elton Brand's 17 points and 14 rebounds and Jrue Holiday's 15 points and 12 assists.

Philadelphia froze up in the early going of the extra session, failing to score for nearly 4 minutes. But the Sixers nearly got to a second overtime period when Jodie Meeks' desperation 3-point try clanged off the rim as time expired.
