COL BKB: Syracuse 61, Seton Hall 58

NEWARK, N.J., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Brandon Triche sank a trio of second-half 3-pointers Saturday and No. 4 Syracuse remained unbeaten with a 61-58 victory over Seton Hall.

Triche went 4-of-5 from beyond the arc en route to 15 points and Kris Joseph added 15 and grabbed eight rebounds for the Orange (16-0, 3-0 Big East).

Scoop Jardine chipped in with 12 points and Rick Jackson dominated with boards with 14 rebounds as Syracuse continued its best start since going 19-0 in 1999-2000.

Jeff Robinson put in 17 points and collected 14 rebounds and Herb Pope hauled down 20 boards to go with his 14 points for Seton Hall (7-9, 1-3 Big East), which lost to the Orange for the fifth straight time.
