Washington thus failed in its bid to pick up its first road win of the season, losing for the 17th time. Every other team in the league has at least two road victories.

Holiday and Lou Williams both scored 26 and Elton Brand had 17 for the 76ers, who returned home after an eight-game road trip on which they went 3-5.

Philadelphia had not beaten Washington since the 2008-09 season. Nick Young led Washington with 21 points and rookie John Wall had 18.
