NBA: Denver 113, Houston 106

DENVER, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony poured in 33 points and Nene added a double-double for the Denver Nuggets Monday in their 113-106 victory over Houston.

Anthony grabbed 11 rebounds and Nene notched 16 points and 11 boards for the Nuggets.

Arron Afflalo contributed 15 points, Chauncey Billups added 13 and Kenyon Martin chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds as Denver took its fourth straight win.

The Rockets, who lost for the third time in four games, were led by Luis Scola with 24 points and Kyle Lowry netted 21.
