Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 3 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard netted 22 points Monday, leading a parade of eight Orlando players in double figures in the Magic's 110-90 win over Golden State.
Howard hauled down 17 rebounds and Hedo Turkoglu posted his third career triple-double with 10 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists for Orlando, which won its sixth straight.
Jason Richardson chipped in with 20 points. Also scoring in double figures for Orlando were J.J. Redick and Ryan Anderson (13 points each), Jameer Nelson and Gilbert Arenas (11 apiece) and Brandon Bass (10).
Golden State, playing without injured center David Lee, was led by Monta Ellis with 20 points.
