COL BKB: Illinois 69, Wisconsin 61

CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Jan. 2 (UPI) -- Demetri McCamey pumped in 21 points and distributed seven assists for No. 25 Illinois Sunday, boosting the Illini to a 69-61 win over No. 24 Wisconsin.

Mike Davis chipped in with 11 points and 14 rebounds, and Bill Cole contributed 11 points off the bench for Illinois (12-3, 2-0 Big Ten).

Illinois' win came after it opened the conference season with an 87-77 decision over Iowa last week.

The Badgers (11-3, 1-1) got 19 points each from Jordan Taylor and Jon Leuer.

Keaton Nankivil added 11 points and seven rebounds for Wisconsin.
