COL BKB: Central Florida 68, Princeton 62

ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 30 (UPI) -- Marcus Jordan put Central Florida in front for good with 3:42 remaining Thursday and the No. 21 Knights closed the game on a 14-5 run to down Princeton 68-62.

The victory came in the championship game of the UCF Holiday Classic.

Central Florida, which moved into the national rankings this week for the first time in school history, improved to 13-0. The Knights have joined Syracuse, Cincinnati, Kansas, San Diego State, Ohio State and No. 1 Duke as the only unbeaten teams remaining in major college basketball.

Jordan's two free throws with 3:42 to go gave Central Florida a 58-57 lead and he hit 3-of-5 from the line during the final minute to help wrap up the game. The Knights rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit.

Jordan scored 26 points, making 7-of-12 from the field and 11-of-13 from the foul line.

Dan Mavraides led the Tigers (10-4) with 20 points. Princeton had won its previous eight games.
