GREENSBORO, N.C., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Kyle Singler scored 27 points Wednesday to help Coach Mike Krzyzewski reach another milestone in No. 1 Duke's 108-62 victory over North Carolina-Greensboro.
Krzyzewski moved into second place by himself on the all-time victory list in Division I men's basketball. He has 880 victories, one more than his former North Carolina rival Dean Smith.
Bob Knight, who spent most of his coaching career at Indiana and finished at Texas Tech, holds the record with 902 wins.
Nolan Smith added 26 points for the Blue Devils and combined with Singler to make 18-of-25 shots from the field.
Duke is unbeaten in 12 games this season and its winning streak, dating back to the 2009-10 campaign reached 22. The Blue Devils have lost just once in their last 31 outings, that setback coming March 3 against Maryland.
The Spartans (0-12) got 14 points from Aaron Brackett. It was the ninth meeting between the schools and Duke has won them all.
Duke scored the game's first eight points and led at halftime 53-32.
