NFL: Kansas City 34, Tennessee 14

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Matt Cassel tossed two of his three touchdowns to Jamaal Charles Sunday and the Kansas City Chiefs pounded Tennessee 34-14.

Cassel racked up 314 yards through the air on 24-of-34 attempts and Charles had the first two-touchdown receiving game of his career for the Chiefs (10-5), who entered the game seeking a win and a tie or loss by San Diego to secure the AFC West title.

Charles rushed for 77 yards on 13 carries and Dwayne Bowe added six catches for 153 yards and a score for the victors, who notched their first 10-win-or-more season since 2005.

The Titans (6-9) got 235 passing yards and two scores from Kerry Collins, who became just the 12th quarterback in league history to throw for more than 40,000 career yards.

Chris Johnson, meanwhile, surpassed 1,200 yards for the third time in his three-year career, gaining 58 yards on 14 carries for Tennessee.
