NBA: Philadelphia 95, Denver 89

DENVER, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Jrue Holiday scored 22 points for Philadelphia Sunday and the 76ers mounted a furious fourth-quarter rally to post a 95-89 victory over Denver.

The Sixers erased a 12-point Denver lead with a 19-2 run late in the game to escape with the road win.

Philadelphia gained the lead at 85-84 lead with 3 1/2 minutes remaining. Holiday then hit a jumper and Elton Brand connected on a pair of free throws, extending the advantage to 89-84. After Nene scored for the Nuggets, Jodie Meeks connected on a long 3-pointer to seal the win with 47.1 seconds left.

Brand contributed 16 points and 17 rebounds and Meeks finished with 17 points for the Sixers.

Denver played for the third straight game without superstar forward Carmelo Anthony due to the death of his sister.

Chauncey Billups led the Nuggets with 24 points and Arron Afflalo and Ty Lawson each scored 14.
