NHL: Los Angeles 3, Edmonton 2 (SO)

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 24 (UPI) -- Jarret Stoll's goal in the sixth round Thursday gave the Los Angeles Kings a 3-2 win in the sixth straight shootout between the Kings and Edmonton.

The Oilers had won the previous five but the Kings rallied in this one.

Jordan Eberle scored for Edmonton in the first round of the shootout but Dustin Brown produced a goal for the Kings in the third round to keep things going.

Neither team could score again until Stoll put a shot past Devan Dubnyk.

The game was tied at 1-1 heading into the third period before Jean-Francois Jacques put Edmonton in front with his first goal of the season. That score came 4:25 into the period and Jack Johnson tied it for the Kings 20 seconds later.

Jonathan Quick got the win with 27 saves.

Dubnyk stopped 27-of-29 shots prior to the shootout.
