Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 22 (UPI) -- Temple University is expected to hire Florida offensive coordinator Steve Addazio as its next football coach, the Philadelphia Daily News reported Wednesday.
The newspaper said the Philadelphia school could make it official as early as Thursday.
The Owls are in need of a coach following the departure of Al Golden, who moved on to Miami-Florida.
The newspaper said Temple passed on hiring Penn State defensive coordinator Tom Bradley.
Addazio, 51, found himself looking for a job after Gators Coach Urban Meyers quit unexpectedly and Florida hired Will Muschamp to replace him.
Golden turned around the Owls program, going from 1-11 his first season to producing back-to-back winning records.
