Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Maurice Jones scored 15 points and Alex Stepheson added 13 Tuesday in Southern California's 65-64 win over No. 18 Tennessee, the Vols' third straight loss.
Jones made four steals and Stepheson grabbed seven rebounds for the Trojans (7-5), who upset Tennessee in Knoxville for their third win in four games.
The Trojans hung on for the victory after coming close to knocking off Kansas in Lawrence Saturday, narrowly missing breaking the longest home winning streak in the nation.
The reeling Volunteers (7-3) were led by Tobias Harris with 14 points.
He came up short on a potentially game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.
