CHICAGO, Dec. 20 (UPI) -- The Chicago White Sox said Monday they have officially signed former Minnesota Twins reliever Jesse Crain to a three-year, $13 million contract.

Crain, 29, is to get $4 million in 2011 and $4.5 million in each of the next two years.

The right-hander had a comeback season last year, going 1-1 with a 3.04 earned-run average and 62 strikeouts over 71 appearances, including a 21-inning scoreless streak in June and August.

Crain had a 33-21 record with a 3.42 ERA in 376 career relief outings with the Twins. His most productive season was 2005 when he notched 12 wins.
