Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

DURHAM, N.C., Dec. 20 (UPI) -- Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski tied Dean Smith in career NCAA Division I men's basketball wins Monday with the Blue Devils' 98-72 rout of Elon.
Krzyzewski drew even with the former North Carolina coach for second place on the all-time NCAA wins list with his 879th victory, in which Kyle Singler scored 24 points, Nolan Smith added 22 and Andre Dawkins chipped in with 17 more for Duke (11-0).
"Coach K" also moved to within 23 victories of Bob Knight's all-time record for Division I men's coaches.
Ryan Kelly contributed 13 points and Seth Curry added 10 for the victors.
Elon (4-7) was led by Jack Isenbarger's 21 points.
