MIAMI, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- Ryan Fitzpatrick tossed a pair of touchdown passes Sunday and the Buffalo Bills knocked the Miami Dolphins out of playoff contention with a 17-14 victory.
Fitzpatrick threw for 223 yards on 16-of-26 passing efficiency, yielding one interception, and Steve Johnson gained 69 yards with a touchdown on six receptions for the Bills (4-10).
The Dolphins (7-7) saw their postseason hopes evaporate with the loss, in which Dan Carpenter missed four field goals, including a 48-yard, potential game-tying boot with less than two minutes left in regulation.
Miami's Chad Henne went 33-of-45 through the air for 276 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
