INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- JaJuan Johnson pumped in 31 points, including 11-of-12 free throws, for No. 17 Purdue Saturday and the Boilermakers beat Indiana State 65-52 in Indianapolis.
Johnson went 10-of-19 from the field and E'Twaun Moore contributed 16 points for the Boilermakers (10-1).
Purdue was clinging to a 47-45 lead with 7:47 remaining when Moore canned two free throws to spark a decisive 9-0 run, during which the senior guard also hit two more foul shots.
Kelsey Barlow grabbed 11 rebounds for Purdue, which won despite shooting only 33.3 percent from the field and 3-of-16 from 3-point territory.
Indiana State (5-6), meanwhile, fell to 0-3 against in-state rivals this season, after earlier losses to Ball State and Notre Dame.
Dwayne Lathan led the Sycamores with 15 points and nine rebounds.
