Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
PITTSBURGH, Dec. 18 (UPI) -- Gilbert Brown pumped in 28 points, going 11-of-13 from the field Saturday in No. 8 Pittsburgh's 97-64 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore.
Ashton Gibbs added 15 points and dished off seven assists and Gary McGhee chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers (11-1).
Pittsburgh bounced back from a loss to Tennessee in its previous game.
The Hawks (2-8) got 17 points from Hillary Haley and Dishawn Bradshaw contributed 12 points and five assists in the loss.
