Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Tracy McGrady scored 12 of his 16 points with a flurry of 3-pointers late in the game Tuesday and the Detroit Pistons bested Atlanta 103-80.
McGrady canned four treys in the fourth quarter and Richard Hamilton led Detroit with 24 points as the Pistons snapped a four-game losing skid.
Charlie Villanueva contributed 23 points and 11 rebounds and Rodney Stuckey scored 16 points and distributed 10 assists in the Pistons' win.
The Hawks lost for just the third time in 11 games.
They got 26 points from Josh Smith while Al Horford finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
