OTTAWA, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Bryan Little scored his second goal of the game 1:09 into overtime Monday, handing the Atlanta Thrashers a 4-3 victory over Ottawa.
Little capitalized on a turnover at the Atlanta blue line by Jason Spezza, who dropped a backhanded pass that was intercepted by the Thrashers' winger. Little skated in alone on Brian Elliott and buried the game-winner unassisted.
He also scored in the first period as Atlanta built up a 3-0 lead, with additional goals coming from Jim Slater and Dustin Byfuglien.
But the Senators scored three straight to forge a tie. Daniel Alfredsson and Chris Neal pulled Ottawa to within goal before Spezza connected on a penalty shot goal with 12:37 remaining to knot the score.
Ondrej Pavelec stopped 27-of-30 shots for Atlanta and Elliott turned aside 20-of-24 for the Senators.
