Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

BEREA, Ohio, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Veteran quarterback Jake Delhomme is slated to make his third straight start Sunday for the Cleveland Browns at Buffalo.
Delhomme led the Browns (5-7) to wins over Carolina, his former team, and Miami, after taking over for rookie Colt McCoy, who injured an ankle.
McCoy, who was hurt Nov. 21 against Jacksonville, was back at practice at the team's training facility in Berea, Ohio, Friday and could be a backup in Sunday's game.
Delhomme has thrown for 975 yards and three touchdowns since McCoy was sidelined.
