LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Derek Fisher made a layup just before the buzzer Wednesday, giving the Los Angeles Lakers an 87-86 win over the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Lakers trailed by as many as 13 points in the third period and faced a six-point deficit heading into the fourth period. They then held the Clippers to just 15 in the final quarter to win their third straight.

The winning streak comes after the Lakers had lost four in a row.

DeAndre Jordan scored on a dunk with 15.5 seconds to go, putting the Clippers in front by one before Fisher drove to the basket for the winning shot.

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 24 points and Shannon Brown came off the bench to score 16.

The Clippers got 24 from Eric Gordon.

It was the first meeting of the teams this season. They split their four contests last year.
