NHL: Anaheim 3, Edmonton 2 (SO)

EDMONTON, Alberta, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- Cam Fowler capped a 10-round shootout Tuesday with a goal that gave the Anaheim Ducks a 3-2 win over Edmonton.

Fowler ended the marathon shootout that began with a goal by Anaheim's Joffrey Lupul in the first round followed by Taylor Hall's score in the second.

Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne scored in regulation for the Ducks, who won for the fourth time in their last six games. Jonas Hiller allowed two goals on 36 shots.

Ryan Jones and Dustin Penner scored for the Oilers and Nikolai Khabibulin made 30 saves.

Edmonton's four-game winning streak came to an end but the Oilers earned a point for the sixth time in their last seven games.

After a scoreless first period, Koivu scored on a wrist shot at 5:44 of the second period on assists by Selanne and Fowler.

Selanne made it 2-0 at 6:32 of the third period but Edmonton tied the score on goals by Jones at 10:29 and Penner on the power play at 13:39.
