Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24


ST. LOUIS, Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Veteran St. Louis Blues center Andy McDonald is out indefinitely with a concussion, Coach Davis Payne said Tuesday.
McDonald, 33, was hurt late in Saturday's 2-1 overtime loss to Edmonton when he fell and was kneed in the head by Oilers forward Shawn Horcoff.
McDonald has eight goals and 17 points in 28 games this season, tying him with David Backes for the team lead in points.
In his 10-season career with St. Louis and Anaheim, he has 153 goals and 260 assists in 590 games.
St. Louis is tied with Nashville for fourth place at the bottom of the Central Division of the Western Conference.
