NBA: San Antonio 109, New Orleans 84

SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- San Antonio's Tony Parker struck for 19 points and the Spurs recorded their ninth win in 11 games Sunday with a 109-84 victory over New Orleans.

Parker added six assists, Matt Bonner connected on four 3-pointers en route to 14 points and Richard Jefferson added 13 more for the Spurs.

Tim Duncan chipped in with 11 points and nine rebounds in the victory, which saw San Antonio outscore the skidding Hornets 34-18 in the second period to put the game away.

George Hill and Gary Neal also scored 11 points each for the Spurs.

New Orleans, meanwhile, fell for the fourth time in five games. The Hornets got 16 points and eight assists from Chris Paul in their latest setback.
