Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Kevin Love boosted Minnesota to a huge first half Saturday and the Timberwolves rolled over Cleveland 129-95.
Love scored 20 of his 28 points in the opening two periods, during which Minnesota built a 73-54 lead. The Timberwolves set a franchise record with 18 3-pointers, five of them produced by Love.
Minnesota halted a six-game losing streak, posting its first win since Nov. 17. Wesley Johnson added 20 points and Wayne Ellington had 16.
The Cavaliers demonstrated little enthusiasm after their drubbing at the hands of Miami and LeBron James on Thursday. Ramon Sessions delivered 18 points off the bench in the loss.
It was Cleveland's third straight setback and its seventh in nine games.
