WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- E'Twaun Moore hit a 3-pointer during an 11-point, second-half run Saturday and finished with 23 points, leading No. 18 Purdue past Alabama 66-47.

Five of Moore's eight field goals came from 3-point range, helping the Boilermakers improve to 7-1. JaJuan Johnson added 17 points for Purdue, which hit only 39 percent of its shots from the field but forced 17 turnovers.

Purdue had a 45-34 advantage when it embarked on its surge that blew open the game.

Tony Mitchell scored 14 points for Alabama (4-4). The Crimson Tide attempted nine 3-pointers and missed all of them.
