NHL: Phoenix 4, Minnesota 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 1 (UPI) -- Scottie Upshall started a late flurry of goal scoring by producing the game-winner with 2:40 remaining Wednesday, pushing Phoenix past Minnesota 4-2.

Upshall's goal, his eighth, gave the Coyotes a 3-1 lead but Mikko Koivu brought the Wild within one with 1:06 to play. Lauri Korpikoski added an empty-net goal for Phoenix 36 seconds later to end Minnesota's comeback hopes.

Phoenix won for the eighth time in 10 games, getting 33 saves from Jason LaBarbera. It was his first start in 21 days.

Jose Theodore stopped 32 shots and took the loss for Minnesota, which has dropped five out of six.

Minnesota welcomed forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard back to the lineup. He had missed 104 straight games since suffering a concussion in March 2009. He was credited with one shot.
