NHL: Edmonton 5, Toronto 0

TORONTO, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Rookie Taylor Hall had two goals in a game for the first time Thursday and Nikolai Khabibulin stopped 33 shots, in Edmonton's 5-0 win over Toronto.

It was the second shutout of the year and the 43rd of his career for Khabibulin, who is in his 15th NHL season.

Hall scored 6:24 into the second period to give the Oilers a 2-0 lead and he produced their fourth tally with 3:05 to play in the third.

Jordan Eberle, Sam Gagner and Ryan Jones delivered the other Edmonton goals. Hall has eight for the season.

Jonas Gustavsson made just four saves and gave up two goals before being sent to the bench early in the second period. Toronto lost for the fifth time in six games. Edmonton has won three straight, but still has the worst record in the Western Conference.
