SAN DIEGO, Dec. 2 (UPI) -- Chase Tapley scored 14 points Wednesday and touched off a nine-point run that brought No. 19 San Diego State a 69-55 win over St. Mary's.
The Aztecs, unbeaten in seven games, turned a 23-19 lead into a 32-19 cushion during the latter stages of the first half. They went on to pick up their 17th straight non-conference home victory.

Malcolm Thomas added 12 points and the Aztecs blocked a season-high 10 shots.
St. Mary's was led by Rob Jones with 17 points. The Gaels won their first six of the season, but have now lost two straight.
