NEW YORK, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- The NBA Wednesday slapped a one-game suspension on Washington Wizards center Hilton Armstrong for his flagrant foul in a loss to Miami.

Stu Jackson, NBA executive vice president for basketball operations, said Armstrong will lose his pay for the one game, as well. Armstrong will sit out the Wizards' game at Toronto Wednesday night.

Armstrong was disciplined for shoving Joel Anthony during a layup attempt Monday and was ejected following the flagrant foul.

Heat forward Juwan Howard was given a technical foul and ejected from the game for shoving Armstrong following the incident.
