NEW YORK, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady parlayed his four-touchdown performance against Detroit into AFC offensive player of the week honors Wednesday.

Houston Texans cornerback Glover Quin earned the conference's defensive award and special teams honors went to New York Jets kick returner Brad Smith.

Brady hit all four of his scoring passes in the second half of the Pats' 45-24 Thanksgiving Day victory. He went 21-of-27 without an interception. It's the 16th time he's won the weekly award but first time this year.

Quin had a franchise-record three interceptions in Houston's victory against Tennessee. It's the first weekly award for the second-year player.

Smith returned a kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown in the Jets' Thanksgiving Day win over Cincinnati. He also scored a 53-yard rushing touchdown and totaled 200 all-purpose yards in notching his second career player of the week award.
